"This is a fabulous little restaurant located in what is quickly becoming a very cool part of Brooklyn - Ditmas Park West. I've only had brunch here, but it was reasonably priced and the hollandaise sauce on my eggs benedict had more citrus kick than usual - a plus in my books. I ordered the sweet potato fries in place of home fries and they were delectably rich and dense with just the right amount of crispness. Great backyard terrace and a mellow, homestyle feel. I will definitely be back for dinner!"

"Picket Fence is a hidden gem in Brooklyn. The restaurant is cozy with a welcoming atmosphere and staff. There might be a wait for brunch or even for dinner, but the quality of the food is always worth the wait. I go for brunch (at least once a weekend), but I always have tough decision on whether to pick the challah french toast with fresh fruit or the special omelet. Either way I am never disappointedmy suggestion is to bring a friend, so you can have a taste of both and enjoy the beautifully landscaped garden with a mimosa in hand. Pros: quality of the food and service Cons: there might be a wait, but the taste is worth it"

"It was delicious. I went here with my mom and had a fantastic meal. The service was great and helpful. When we were trying to choose a bottle of wine our waitress helped find the right type of red wine for us. We both had the same dish the buttermilk fried chicken. It was a neat twist on an old comfort food favorite. The breading was slightly spicy which was unexpected and interesting, and the mac and cheese that came with it was amazing. I also have to agree with everyone else mac and gouda cheese is a fantastic combination."
